DOOR LOCK
Yale, Samsung, Sclarge. We suggest Yale because it’s a two-way communication. Means manual & app are synchronized. Samsung & Sclarge consider one-way communication, means once you send out demand, without knowing the update. Did not control directly to the device.
Nope, they are proprietary ecosystem. Everything has to use the same brand or within their eco-system. They more on Zigbee, Bluetooth or wifi. Ours is Z-wave. We can integrate with different brand. Yale is the specialist when comes to door lock. They been in the market for 180 years.
Aqara, Lifesmart the price is relatively low because they launch their door lock few years ago.
Yes, then we will remove the Z-wave module for you. Just that you no able to control and change the setting from app. For smart home will need a home. Another option is get link access + bridge to control from Yale app.
Not recommend, because grill door is designed for grill door. For timber door we use mortis lock so not suitable. If you want to customize, also need to spend extra in order to fit the lock.
LIGHTING
1 relay control two gang, one gang can have more than one light
qubino 0-10 no limit on watt
1 dimmer control 1 gang
1 RGBW control 1 gang, 1 gang can have more than 1 strip
Touch panel got neutral and non-neutral two versions. If you already stay in, can go for non-neutral, then you no need to hacking. But non neutral 1G highest can only support up to 800 watt, and only 1G and 2G are available.
If can, suggest to go for neutral version, it gives higher stability and capacity. Touch panel neutral version 1G can go up to 1000 watt. Both neutral and non-neutral version, you get to choose either black or white.
For relay, the advantage is you no need to change any switches, can use back your existing one. One relay can support up to 1150 watt, but one relay can only support 2 gang.
So it is depend on your requirement.
Yes, you can do that by installing the relay behind your switches.
No, you can choose any brand you like, but of course we will recommend brand like Osram, Philip cus they are sirim approved.
MCO 1G 1000 WATT
MCO 2 GANG 2000 WATT
MCO 4 GANG 4000 WATT
Relay 1150 watt each gang=maximum 1150 x2 =maximum gang
Flush dimmer 140 watt, best if around 100 watt so can buffer
Challenge: universal dimmer easy to get hot (normal kind), normal lighting will do
0-10 watt dimmer: can control 100 watt to 500 watt, no issue
But their module must be 0-10 watt dimmable module
is either we put all the switches in the storeroom, or remove all the switches, but meaning they not able to control manually if anything happened. Better to consolidate all the switches in certain area, in case anything still able to on off manually.
Yes, need to put relay beside the transformer. The transformer will be provided by the lighting shop.
The thunder struck has nothing to do with relay, will straight away kena the DB, not the home appliance or relay.
Lifespan of relay is 70000 times
Use contactor relay, means control all switches in DB box, once on all on, once off all off, even though not all lighting are smart.
Regardless of using universal dimmer or 0-10 dimmer, recommend to use momentary switch, short press is for on and off, long press is for dimming. Or if they using MCO touch dimmer, can directly press on the + &-
If RGBW bulb, Aeotec, no need RGBW fibaro
If RGBW bulb, other brand like Philips hue need Philip hub, so not recommended
If strip need RGBW fibaro
0-10 & led strip need to use RGBW transformer
AIRCON CONTROLLER
Any brand will do, as long they come with remote control (infared). Panasonic, York, Media, Honeywell, Mitsubishi can work very well. If you are using Daikin, only thing to take note is the on and off signal are the same.
As long as the distance is within 12m, you can use one remotec to control. But when it’s on, all the aircon will turn on together. If you want to control separately, better use one unit for each aircon.
Because our app can do scheduling. You can decide when to open and close aircon according to your lifestyle. Also we can create scene. If you not going to use this features, then use your existing app will do.
for smart aircond controller, we won’t advise to use touch panel, because the aircon switch usually is 20 ampere, so exceeds the 10 ampere as approved by SIRIM. Unless the hose power of the aircon is 2 or less than 2, then no problem.
If not, can consider just remove the switch, if want to change everything switches to touch panel, because the switch must remain open all the time in order to control the aircon. Without the switches, still can use remote control and app to control.
For heater, within 2300 watt can use smart relay or touch panel
MOTORIZED CURTAIN
If only one layer (traditional French hook), will need 6 inches, if two layer (traditional French hook), will need 8 inches.
If only one layer (ripple fold), will need 7 inches, if two layer together need at least 10 inches.
If two layer also ripple fold, need total 14 inches.
Yes, it can still function although cannot control manually. You can pull it manually.
If get track from other supplier, cannot pair with our motor=) if the motor from other supplier, but track from us can, provided the motor comes with 4 core cable.
Yes, as long the motor comes with 4 core cable, then we no need do testing, it’s compatible. If it’s not, then will need to do testing. 4 core live, neutral, up down. Up down consider 2 cores.
Outdoor blind fabric the price is higher than indoor, because it’s waterproof
one panel max is 117″ for the length of the blind
CCTV
HIK: will record 24/7, if got someone break in, will do event recording 2-3 minutes, same apply to AI & non-AI (smart intruder detection)
Vista cam from US, made in Taiwan, not doing 24/7, only do recording when got motion, regardless of model.
vista camera got motion sensor, HIK camera don’t have motion sensor
Yes, you may do that. But have to take note if use SD card, if camera damage, footage all gone. Use sd card, need to add 4 port poe, add sans disk 160 each. If No NVR, cannot do virtual line crossing.
4 channel NVR: maximum 4 views in a screen
8 channel NVR: can go up to 5 views in a screen
Because indoor camera less demand compared to outdoor bullet camera.
Nope, have to do it manually
Nope, but can adjust the angle manually
INTERCOM
Nope, main unit can call to outdoor and other unit, but sub unit can only pick up call from outdoor or call to other unit, but not able to call outdoor.
For the intercom, got indoor and outdoor unit, means both not interlinking, all cable go back to network switches, using 2 poe, cus 1 device 1 poe
need 2 cat6 cable
ALARM SYSTEM
Yes, have to pull a new alarm sensor point, cannot use the old point.
For existing alarm cable and camera, if want to install the new one, just leave the cable there, if need we will cut, but will not remove them entirely.
For motion sensor, have to pair with lighting, then can create scene to trigger the lighting on.
For security sensor, it’s to detect motion, nothing to do with smart home. Can set if after 11pm people pass by then trigger the siren.
the motion sensor of Eco Ardence is connecting to the alarm system. But high chance of false alarm. Say already dismantled, up to the owner want to install it back.
WIFI SOLUTION
if you have already moved in your place for many years, recommend you just use mesh wifi. No need to wire laying and hacking, the disadvantage is when it jumps one-hops, the speed will reduce 50%. imagine your internet speed is 300mbps, when it jumps one hop, it reduces to 150mbps. the more hops you have, the slower the speed is.
if yours is a new property, especially landed, it’s better to add an access point, because the space is big, so wired one is a lot stable. the purpose of the access point is to make sure a stable connection & no wifi dead zone at your place.
the number of AP we proposed is an ideal situation, can accommodate your need up to 3 to 5 years. AC model comes with 2 band, which is 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz. 2.4 cover a wider area but transmits data at a slower speed. 5G covers a smaller area but data transmits at a faster speed.
Say you only have one access point, but your house is very big, you might be having connection issues when you go to the corner of your house. if you upgrade your internet to 800mbps, but your corner area might also not be able to enjoy the speed, because 5G only covers a smaller area.
When you are having enough access points, the moment you feel like upgrading your internet speed, you can immediately enjoy the speed, because regardless of 2.4 or 5G, the number of AP is enough to cover the whole area.
Yes, because it was designed this way to give the biggest and widest coverage. Otherwise you can go for wall-plate type.
Can support up to 1G.
If only one access point, no need wifi controller, if more than one ap, need wifi controller, the purpose of the controller is to do auto roaming.
Check what brand they are comparing. Cisco, Aruba consider commercial use ap, one app the price is very high. TP-link is more than enough for residential use.
got wifi signal, cannot surf internet service provider problem
if weak signal, internet browsing slow, means wifi problem
If the living area has router, best to switch it off because it will interfere, if using wifi access point, means whole house using the same SS1D.
VERA EDGE
use lan cable and go back to network switch will do, no need poe cus poe supply power and data.
OTHER
Water heater need to use flush 1 relay, but with the condition the load not exceeded 10A.
Yes, both Google and Alex can work with our system.
Mandarin & English.
video intercom: motion sensor (able to set the sensitivity) now maximum range is 5m
should be within a room, also avoid to place the google nest at a noisy place
